Ship a product launch without missing critical steps

Create a Notion database called Launch Checklist with columns for Task, Owner, Status (Not Started, In Progress, Done, Blocked), Due Date, and Category (Engineering, Marketing, Legal, Support, Ops). Populate it with every task needed before launch including final QA, security review, press embargo timing, and support documentation. Set the database to table view grouped by Category so each team lead can filter to their own section. Share the page with the entire company with comment permissions so anyone can flag a blocker.

Create a Launch milestone in Linear and add all engineering and product tasks from your Notion checklist as Linear issues within that milestone. Assign each issue to the responsible engineer or PM and set due dates so the milestone view shows a clear countdown. As issues close, the milestone progress bar advances automatically. Link your Notion checklist to the Linear milestone description so non-engineering stakeholders can see overall launch readiness in one click.

One week before launch, create a Slack channel called #launch followed by your product name. Invite every team lead and key stakeholder. Pin your Notion checklist link and Linear milestone link at the top. On launch day, use this channel as the command center: post hourly status updates, escalate blockers immediately, and document every go/no-go decision with a timestamp. After launch, export the channel history and save it in Notion as a launch postmortem starting point.
