Tools that power the Track MVP user behavior stack

Setup guide

  1. PostHog: Create a PostHog cloud project (free tier covers up to 1 million events/month). Install the JavaScript snippet or npm package in your app. Enable Session Replay under Project Settings → Recordings to start capturing real user sessions immediately. (open)
  2. Hotjar: Sign up for Hotjar and add the tracking script to your site. Navigate to Heatmaps to create your first heatmap on key pages, and go to Recordings to watch real session videos. Use filters to focus on users who drop off or rage-click. (open)
  3. Notion: Create a shared Notion workspace as your insights hub. Use a table or kanban board to log discoveries from PostHog funnels and Hotjar heatmaps. Tag each insight by severity and link it to a product decision or next action. (open)
